Heavy duty, mid wheel drive, lift ready
The Vision Super carries riders up to 450 lb on a mid wheel drive base with suspension front and rear. Add the power seat lift and the whole seat rises 10 inches at the touch of a switch, so you reach shelves and counters and talk to people standing up without asking for help. It is built by Merits and sold here by people who know the chair and answer the phone after the sale.
A scissor lift sits between the seat and the base. Hold the switch and it raises the whole seat, armrests, joystick and footplate together, from about 24 inches off the floor to about 34. Let go and it stops where you want it. The lift is the Merits P3274 and the factory fits it before the chair ships.
At 34 inches you sit close to kitchen counter height. You reach the second shelf, see over a store counter and look a standing adult in the eye. A higher seat also helps with transfers, because you push up from closer to standing height instead of from a low chair.

The Jazzy Air 2 is the only other chair here with a power lift and it stops at 300 lb. The Elite HD and Compass HD carry 450 lb but offer no lift at all.
Raised, the seat sits 34 inches off the floor, an inch above the Jazzy Air 2 and well above any chair without a lift. It also runs 5 mph and up to 20 miles on a charge, against 4 mph and 12 to 15 miles for the other three.
Fitted with the seat lift it still costs less than the list price of every other chair in the table, and $4,279 without the lift.
Mid wheel drive with casters front and rear keeps the chair planted and turns it in 21 inches, tight enough for a hallway, a kitchen or an elevator.
Coil springs at both ends soak up thresholds, pavers and gravel paths. The 12 inch flat free drive tires never need air.
Captain seat in 20, 22 or 24 inch widths and 18 to 22 inch depths, with a headrest, a reclining backrest and padded armrests.
A joystick on the armrest drives it, with power, speed and horn on the same pad. Two 24 volt 300 watt motors pull it up an 8 degree ramp, and two 55 Ah batteries charge overnight from the 5 amp off board charger. It comes in Red or Black.

Merits rates the Vision Super for up to 20 miles per charge on two 55Ah 22NF AGM batteries, with a top speed of 5 mph. Rider weight, hills, rough ground and cold weather lower the real distance. It charges with a 5 amp off-board charger.
The standard chair weighs 243 lb and the version with the seat lift weighs 273 lb. The heaviest piece when taken apart is 121 lb, or 151 lb with the lift, so transport usually needs a ramp van or a vehicle lift.
The Vision Super is 27.2 in wide and 35.4 in long with a 21 in turning radius. Many home doors give only 28 to 30 in of clear opening, which leaves little room on each side, so measure each doorway before you buy.
It is mid-wheel drive with two 300 watt motors, 12 in flat-free knobby drive tires and full front and rear suspension for a smoother ride on uneven ground. It is rated for an 8 degree incline with 2.2 in of ground clearance, so take curbs slowly.
The standard chair uses a Dynamic Shark 50 amp controller and the seat lift version uses a PG VR2 60 amp controller. It comes in Red or Black.

I needed a mobility scooter that was auto-folding, but not overly engineered where problems can arise, was not too heavy to lift by myself, would easily fit in the trunk of my car, and not be overly expensive. Wishful thinking I thought. Until I discovered the MOJO on my computer. This scooter ticked all my boxes, and more. It is comfortable, well built, is easy to charge the batteries without having to bend down to remove them, and even if you do want to remove them they are accessible from the standing position. the tiller is fully adjustable as are the arm rests, the folding/unfolding functions are easily initiated, and the axle release is easily achieved. A well engineered piece of kit. Now, for the customer service: I can honestly say that I have never come across anything like it; it is absolutely perfect. The gentleman I dealt with 'bent over backwards' to help me without pressuring me into a purchase, and to ensure I was buying a scooter that was right for me. Because I live in New Zealand I knew I was creating a lot more work for him, but he never complained. This and my MOJO are very much appreciated.
